A Midsummer Night's Dream
By: William Shakespear
Once upon a time there was a girl named Hermia who was in love with a guy named Lysander but her dad, Egeus, didn't want her to be with him. He wanted her to marry Demetrius.
Her father brought her to Duke of Athens and he said, "If you refuse to marry Demetrius you will be killed or become a nun." Hermia didn't like this idea so her and Lysander planned to run away to Lysander's aunt's house.
While Lysander and Hermia were in the forest, Demetrius and Helena, the girl that loved him, came into the forest. Oberon saw them arguing so he told Puck, the fairy servant, to put flower juice on Demetrius's eyes so when he woke up he would fall in love with Helena.
Puck put the flower juice on the wrong guy so when Lysander woke up he was in love with Helena. In order to correct the spell, Puck had to tire Lysande r and Demetrius out so he was able to redo the spell. When the men woke up, Lysander was in love with Hermia once again and Demetrius loved Helena.
When Egeus saw the four of them, Demetrius confessed his love for Helena. He said, "I was wrong, I am in love with Helena, not Hermia." When Eueus heard that, both couples went and got married. Hermia was able to marry the man she actually loved, Lysander, and Helena was finally happy because the man she loved now loved her back.
