Odysseus and his men landed on the island of the Lotus Eaters. Odysseus's men ate the flower that the kind people offered them. When they ate the flowers they forget about their old lives and wished to stay. Odysseus saves them by dragging them back to the boat.
Odysseus and his men invade Polyphemus's cave and rudely help themselves to food and drinks. Polyphemus kills most of Odysseus's men for invading his space. Odysseus and his remaining men smartly escape under sheep.
Sirens try to lure in Odysseus and his men. Odysseus orders his men to tie him to the post. He then has his men put bee wax in their ears. Doing this means his men won't be lured in by the sirens.
Odysseus and his men come upon Scylla the monster with 12 arm, 6 heads, and 3 rows of sharp pointy teeth. They also encounter Charybdis the whirlpool that is right across from Scylla. If they go away from Scylla who will eat them, they will fall into Charybdis and die.
Odysseus and his men land on Helios's Island. They were warned not to kill the animals, yet they end up on the island for weeks. Odysseus's starving men end up killing a cow off of Helios island and must face the brutal consequence.
Odysseus returns home to many men trying to marry Penelope. Enraged Odysseus wins the test with his bow and 12 ax heads. Odysseus then kills all the suitors with help from his son Telemachus. He eventually earns Penelope's trust and they remain together in peace because Athena protects them from angry relatives of the dead suitors.
