  • The Assyrians were a well trained army which consisted of foot soldiers, archers, cavalry, and charioteers. They used iron weapons because it was stronger and more efficient.
  • Chaldean Empire
  • Kings in Assyria had the right to chose officials to benefit the Assyrian life.
  • Chaldean Cities
  • The Assyrians built temples and palaces which were places where they worshiped Babylonian gods.
  • Fall of the Chaldean Empire
  • The Chaldean's led a revolt against the Assyrian army. After the Assyrian king was killed, King Nabopolassar and his son, Nebuchadnezzar built a new empire; the Chaldean Empire.
  • King Nebuchadnezzar rebuilt Babylon, which made it the largest and richest city in the world.
  • After Nebuchadnezzar died, a series of week kings ruled the Chaldean Empire, plus the poor harvests and slow trade made things worse.
