  • When the Whites took the Africans from Western and Central Africa , they put them on  a boat and kept them on their for about 35 days . When the Black people died , they threw them off the boat and continued on the journey. They carried around 250 to 600 slaves on the boat .
  • When they got to the United States , they made them pick cotton in the cotton fields. A slave pick about 100 to 300 pounds of cotton a day. They would make them pick cotton for about 8 hours a day in the blazing hot sun . They had them outside in all types of weather.
  • House Slaves were slaves that of course worked in houses . They washed dishes , cooked , cleaned , did laundry and etc . When usually lived with they slaves owners or they lived with the other slaves in wood shacks with dirt floors . When a slave did not do what they had to do , the got punished .
