  • I am going to task you with exploring the Mississippi River that comprised the Louisiana purchase
  •                             The Expedition Starts
  •  Native Americans
  • The year is May 14, 1804, Meriwether Lewis was tasked by Thomas Jefferson to explore west of the Mississippi river that comprised the Louisiana purchase. Lewis had chosen William Clark as his co-leader for the mission. 
  • Rough waters 
  • As both Lewis and Clark both were boarding the Pirogues they were told to explore uncharted parts of North America. The day that the expedition  was when Lewis was tasked to do this May 14, 1804.
  • Native American Attack
  • Lewis and Clark found lots of Native Americans. Usually they were polite to help them for when they needed it 
  • An Exploration's End
  • Mr. President the mission was a success.
  • While the duo explores were on the boat they had a major obsticle the rough waters. Lukily the survived every storm. 
  • Along the way they encountered harsh weather, unforgiving terrain, treacherous waters, injures, starvation diseases and hostile Native Americans.
