Andrew Jackson was born in 1767 in the Waxhaws region. He became a national War Hero after he defeated the British in the Battle of New Orleans. He lost the presidency to J.Q Adams in the "Corrupt Bargain". He went on to win the next election, and became the seventh President of the United States and was known as the "people's president".
John Quincy Adams(the son of John Adams) began his political career as the Minister of Netherlands in 1794. Then he served in the Massachusetts State Senate and the U.S Senate. He won the election even though he didn't win the popular vote or the electoral college. The decision of president was appointed by the House of Representatives so they appointed him in the "Corrupt Bargain"
Henry Clay was born on April 12, 1777 in Hanover County, Virginia. He worked as a lawyer before becoming a Kentucky senator and then the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Also, he was the secretary of state under John Quincy Adams in the 1820. Later in his career he returned back to congress.
