King Acrisius was told by Oracle at Delphi that Danae his daughter would have a son who will kill him. So his first locked her up in a chamber of bronze. Magically, Danae became pregnat by Zeus and had a son, Perseus. So Acrisius solution was to put Danae and her child in a wooden chest and cast it to the sea. THen they end up on island of Seriphus.
KIng Polydectes wants to marry Danae. However, he doesn't like Persus his solution to get rid of Persus is to send him to get Medusa's. Persus didn't know that the king wanted to get rid of him he thought it was just a challenge.
The gods favored Persus. So, from Athena he got a mirrored shield and from Hermes he got a magic sword. He also got three things from the nymphs of the north: winged sandals that would allow him to fly, a wallet that could expand, and then a cap that would make him invisible. The Graeae had the information of where the Gorgans were. So he steals their eye making them blind until they gave him the information.

When he kills Medusa he wore his winged sandals, he used the mirrored sheild reflection to guide him, then he used the sword to cut off her head before she had awakend. After this Pegasus jumps out of her head and was born and set free. Then the Gorgans chased him but couldn't catch him because he had the cap on.
Perseus passed Joppa where he saw Andromeda, a princess chained to a rock. Poseiden sent a sea monster. Perseus fallen in love with her and offer to kill the monster. By killing the moster he showed it Medusa's head.
HELP! SOMEONE SAVE ME!
When he returns home, He has already married Andromeda. He finds out that Polydectes was actually trying to kill him and it wasn't a challenge.
