Hello Mrs. Dover, it is nice to see you again. I'm glad that you could make it in to parent teacher day.
Hello again. How have you been?
I have been fine. First of all let me say that it has been wonderful having Ben in my class. He is always so excited to get to class and loves to participate in the lessons.

That’s lovely, I am happy to hear that.
Hello again. How have you been?
In your emails though, you said something about a test.
Yes, in this most recent unit, Ben has been experiencing some difficulty in understanding some of the core concepts we have been discussing.
What’s going to happen?
Hello Mrs. Dover, it is nice to see you again. Thank you for coming in to meet me today.
Hello again. How have you been?
At the beginning of this unit it did not appear to be an issue, but recently in the last two weeks it has worsened to the point where it has affected Tuesday’s progress test.
We have looked at the data for Ben’s performance in homework and in class over the last few weeks, and we have developed an action plan to address his issues.
Ben will be involved in two 30 minute lessons per week which will use targeted learning to specifically improve his understanding. These lessons will happen during school hours and will not interfere with his overall school schedule.

It’s good to hear that he’ll be getting help, but is there anything we need to do at home?
Hello again. How have you been?
Studies show that parental involvement is a key factor to success.
If you want to get involved I have a list of resources right here which may be put to good use for Ben.
Once again, thank you so much for coming. I'm glad that we could discuss this. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
