  • On Christmas night, 1776, Washington and his troops crossed the river once again for more soldiers.
  • Americans win
  • They marched 9 miles to Trenton, New Jersey.
  • Americans take land
  • We won! This is our land now.
  • At 7:30, the troops attacked Trenton from all angles.
  • In the battle, the colonists killed 36, wounded 70, and took over 1,000 as prisoners.
  • The Americans were victorious and took the land.
