May 11, 1829 Elisha and her family live in very spacious land in Mexican Texas.Her family lives in a very small house and their closest neighbor is a couple miles away.Elisha's family works very hard every day to form a better life.

May 27, 1829 Elisha's Mother and Father visited their closest neighbors to see how they were doing.They talked for quite a bit then their neighbors had told them that they were moving West to look for gold they told them that they were welcome to travel with them as long as they had their own wagon.
June 4, 1829 Elisha's parents thought long and hard about what their neighbors had offered them.Finally they decided to move west with their neighbors.The next day they started to pack up the wagon and take everything they needed and left to the neighbors house at noon.
August 3, 1829 Elisha's family settled in a village with other Indians and their neighbors.She liked it their because she wasn't treated different.Elisha always expected to be treated different because her skin color is darker than most, but here she was treated equal she was treated kind.
September 8, 1829 Elisha's father took a job in mining with a lot of other men because everyone wanted gold.That's the main reason why they moved their so they were determined to get the gold .Elisha's father worked day and night and would rarely come home to eat dinner with the family.
May 15, 1830 Elisha went outside to go play with the other children when she had seen Indians walking into the village.They look sad, frightened, and mad.She ran inside and asked her mother what was happening and her mother told her that it was The Indian Removal Act.
