This is the begining of when Montag meets Clarrise. Clarrise questions Montag and tells him things that he has really not thought of for instance, "Did you know that once billboards were only twenty feet long?" said Clarrise. This makes Montag think but he really still doesn't care too much.
Montag really starts to think about books and many other things in the past.He wonders why people can't read books. Montag even ask's Mildred his wife, " Where did we meet?And Where?" The fact that Montag has even asked Mildred this is a big thing.
Montag feels super guilty for having books hidden in his house. Montag also feels drawn to the books to so he doesn't want destroy them ethier. For instance he states that,"Well,I'm sick now. I'm not going to work tonight. Call Beatty for me"said Montag to Mildred.
Montag is searcing for someone to help him read and understand books better.That's when he thinks of Faber. Faber reads and understands the importance of books. Montag says in the story,"I need you too teach me." Faber then states,"All right,all right."
Montag gets caught for having books in his house.Captain Beatty then shows up but makes Montag burn down his house. After that Beatty goes to arrest him. He also finds out about Faber being involved. Montag then "shot one continuous pulse of liquid fire on him.''which is how Beatty died.
I've got to go, but what about Faber?
In the end of the story Montag runs away from the city to get away from authorities. Where he floats down the river. "Montag was alone in the wilderness."This was stated in the story. The only thing was that there were people out there also hiding, who were waiting for him after watching the news.
