I'm Pierre and I'm going to be a voyageur because my father can't. He cut off his thumb. I have to leave my family though.
Charbonneau said that it's a holiday. I got startled because that meant that we are going to camp. No more paddling for now. The brigade make fun of me for not knowing about voyageur stuff. My blisters aren't doing to good. They are still bleeding. And I am very homesick. I miss my family.
We went through the rapids. It was a rough journey. There was lots of rough waves. There was lots of rocks and it was very scary. Most of us made it out but one, La Londe. We will miss you.
We went through Lake Superior. The canoe is filled with water. Everyone was fighting over food when we got to the brigade but me. Everyone thought the food was slop.
Seeing the trading post was the best feeling. The bad thing was that I knew this was the farthest I've been from home.
I'm back home and I'm super happy that I'm back. I think I'm going back to the brigade next year. But I'm happy to be home for now.
