Nikola's Unfair Compensation
Edison isn't paying me the right amount of money for my work. I have to quit.
I must convince the public that Tesla's work is dangerous.
Nikola's Disinterest in Money
Although I have been awarded with money for all my work, I never really cared for it. I just wanted to help people.
When Nikola Tesla began working with Edison, he was already already contributing to the electrical world with a lot of his ideas. Thomas Edison brought him on by informing him that by the end of his working period, he would be paid 1 million dollars. When the time came, Tesla saw that Edison wasn't going to keep his word and decided to leave in order to pursue his own work somewhere else.
Thomas Edison saw how successful Tesla was becoming with his work, especially after the release of his AC system. In order to stop Tesla, Edison thought that it would be a good idea if he tried sabotaging it. He gathered up people and tried demonstrating to them that Tesla's AC system was a danger to them and others. His did not end up working in the end.
Even after contributing a great deal to the electrical world, Tesla was not interested in the money. Tesla was an inventor who wanted to help people finding way to make things they used, much more easier and efficient. Even at an old, Tesla continued working in order to help others.
