We were still hiding, when Ariane found us and she told us something about our dad.
!I saw my father, I saw when the military men killed him¡ But mother, I can't hide with you, I have to go.
The military army found us and they beat my mother, she died a few days later.
Our salvation came when the RPF arrived in Kabgayi in early June. We had been rescued. I came out of the hiding. We were walked to Butare, neer from Kabgayi, where we were given, along with thousands of others, shelter in a refugee camp.
Here I met again with my sister Ariane.
We were very HAPPY!!
Later, we were taken to Kabuga, near Kigali. After some weeks, an aunt heard that we had survived. and she came for us. Her family adopted me but decided that my sister return to our home in Kabgayi.
Bye sister, I am going to miss you.
Let's go Valentina.
Later on, I started to get sick, I had the HIV virus. My aunt's family decided to keep me in a storage room so a could infect them.I was very sad.
Is better than she stays down there.
We don't want to get sick.
I miss my FAMILY!!
I was so sad that I decided to call Ariane. She came for me, and together we traveled back to our family house in Kabgayi
Let's go bak to Kabgayi We are going to have a better life.
