- Oedipus is born
- Oedipus is born from King Laius and Queen Jocasta in Corinth. However, an oracle predicts that Laius's son will kill him and marry his wife. To combat this, Jocasta sends him away down a river, hoping that he will die young.

- Luckily, a shepherd finds the baby. He brings Oedipus to the king and queen of Thebes, Polybus and Moepe. He grows up believing that he's one with them. He builds his life well, he becomes lord and marries a beautiful lady.
- Oedipus is found
- Crossroads incident
- Oedipus treks out on a mission to defeat the Sphinx, a monster whose been causing Thebes a lot of trouble. However. he crosses a man who also caused him a headache. He kills him in retaliation.
- Oedipus gives a speech to Thebes
- After his successful encounter with the Sphinx, Oedipus returns with news that the king of Thebes was murdered! So he gives a speech to the citizens declaring that if the culprit is found, they shall be exiled.
- Oedipus hired an oarcle to help find the murderer, however it turns out that Oedipus himself is the man behind the crime. It all comes to him now that he killed his real father, and he married his mother.
- Oedipus learns the truth
- Jocasta, Oedipus's wife who is also his mother, kills herself out of distraught. In the moment of all this commotion, Oedipus too goes crazy and even stabs his eyes out. Finally, he requests to be taken away from Thebes for ever.
