Odysseus and his men arrive on a deserted island. Across from it, they can see another island with cyclops. Odysseus takes a few men at dawn to see if the cyclops on it are friendly.
When they reach the island, they see a man sleeping in a cave alone. Odysseus takes his twelve best man and a wineskin and goes to the cave.
Once in the cave, Odysseus and his men eat and relax. When the cyclops returns with his sheep, he sees them. Odysseus asks the cyclops to be hospitable, but the cyclops refuses and instead eats two of the men.
Tell me, how are you called?
When the cyclops leaves the next morning, Odysseus makes a spear and a plan. After the cyclops eats two more men, Odysseus gives the cyclops the wine he brought until he becomes drunk.
My name is Nohbdy: mother, father, and friends, everyone calls me Nohbdy.
Once the cyclops is asleep, Odysseus and five of his men use the spear and stab the cyclops in his eye. the cyclops then runs out of the cave and shouts for help, but no one comes because he says, "Nohbdy is hurting me!"
After being stabbed, the cyclops blocks the entrance to the cave. Odysseus and the others ties themselves under sheep and are let out in the morning. They run to their boat, but Odysseus taunts the cyclops, who throws a rock and then curses them and their journey.
