Carly and her parents are outside the pet store when Carly notices a cute puppy in the window. Carly and her parents have talked about getting a pet before and Carly is going to ask for this dog.
Carly asks if they can go into the store and look at the dog. Dad is excited to go look but Mom is weary Mom: "Are you sure you don't want a fish? Fish are so much easier to care for."
Carly and her parents talk for awhile until her parents finally agree to go into the pet store to look at the dog.
Mom: Are you sure you want this dog, he's kinda big? Carly: Trust me I'm sure Dad: You'll walk him everyday and pick up his poop? Carly: Gross, but yes! Mom: You'll take him to the dog park whenever you can? Carly: Absolutely!
Carly: Mom and Dad I've been wanting a dog for the longest time. It's very lonely in the house when you two are working and I don't have any siblings to talk to. Having a dog will make me happier and make this dog happier to have a forever home. I promise I will take care of him forever and never leave his side.
Mom: Okay fine, but you need to do everything for the dog and if we have to pick up one ounce of poop I'll be very happy Carly: Thank You so much Mom and Dad! Dad: What should we name him? Carly: I don't know, how about Spencer?
