- You have also told Tales about three rioters who have dishonored their people, and I want to focus on them for right now.
- Yes, your majesty.
- I was told that you and two other rioters were causing a lot of trouble.
- Can you tell me what you three did?
- Your majesty, we were sitting in a tavern for a drink when we saw a coffin passing by. The serving boy told us Death killed him. So, the three of us went out to search for Death. We were all pissed and we caused a lot of commotion. While we were searching, there was an old lady who told us where to find Death, but we instead found a pile of gold sitting under a tree.
- By then, we no longer sought Death. We all wanted to keep the gold for ourselves. But, it couldn't be done by day. People would have called us robbers, your majesty! So, what we decided instead was to draw lots. It fell upon me, and I went towards the town to bring back food.
- All of us were greedy, but I was the greediest of all. So, when I came to town, I found an apothecary, and I told him to sell me some poison. Then, I lied to him by saying that I had to kill some rats. I was able to get the box of poison, and I found a man who lent me three large bottles.
- I poured wine into the bottles, put poison into two and kept the third one clean. I came back to rejoin my comrades and I handed them the poisoned wine. We all took a drink and I saw my comrades die in front of me. After that, I was able to grab the money and walk away.
