  • June 12, 1950 (North Korea invades South Korea) 
  • September 15, 1950 (Victory at Inchon) 
  • WE WONNN!!!!!!!!!
  • October 20,1950 (China Joins War Pushing back UN Forces)
  • President Harry S. Truman announces that he is ordering U.S. air and naval forces to South Korea to aid the democratic nation in repulsing an invasion by communist North Korea. 
  • Feb 1951 (Peace Talks Begin) 
  • U.S. Marines land at Inchon on the West Coast of Korea, 100 miles south of the 38th parallel and just 25 miles from Seoul.
  • April 1951 (MacArthur Fired for wanting to use A-Bomb)
  • YOU´RE FIRED!
  • The 300,000- man Chinese offensive caught the UN forces off guard, largely because of U.S. Gen. Douglas MacArthur's belief that China would not openly enter the war, and vastly expanded the conflict.
  • July 7, 1953 (Truce Signed)
  • Both sides had committed atrocities POWs. The U.S. charged the American POWs had been starved, subjected to political brainwashing sessions, and randomly executed. 
  • The firing of MacArthur set of a brief uproar among the American public, but Truman remained committed to keeping the conflict in Korea a "limited war."
