Kinetic Molecular Theory
Today we're going to learn how a water molecule changes into solid, liquid, and gas.
First off, we're going to figure out how water turns into solid.
That's right, The atoms in a solid are so attracted to each other that they vibrate and don't move past each other.
Okay so, a liquid turns into solid because of the change of temperature. If a temperature is at freezing point, then it'll transform into solid.
Same here for the liquid process, if the solid reaches the temperature of its melting point, then it'll become a liquid.
For the last one we got the gas process, which is also known as the boiling point. Vaporization, it is a process by which a liquid changes to gas at its boiling point.
Now let's talk about what happens to the molecules of water as it changes.
Now you know how the 3 phase of water changes happens.
