  • The llamas overproduced only some of the llamas can survive.

  • Some llamas developed a mutation that allowed them to spit farther then other llamas.
  • Reproduction
  • The llamas live in an environment that also has goats. The llamas must compete with the goats for food.
  • Change In Gene Pool
  • The llamas that can spit farther can attack the goats and get to the food first. The llamas that can't spit as far are less likely to prevent the goats from getting the food.
  • The llamas that spit farther are more likely to survive and reproduce. The llamas that spit farther will have offspring that can also spit far.
  • The gene pool will contain more of the far spitting gene. The amount of llamas with this trait will increase.
