women such as Lucretia Mott, causes such as abolition and womens rights were linked, many other women reformers enjoyed an unusual degree equality in their communities. Lucretia organized the Philadelphia female Anti-Slavery society.

In July 1848, Stanton and Mott helped organize women's rights convention in Seneca falls, New York there was about 300 people only 40 men attended.
