  • If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my house.
  • Paul and Silas in Prison
  • These men are servants of the Most High God
  • Paul and Silas went to a riverside to speak. They met a woman named Lydia, a dealer of purple cloth. God opened her mouth to respond to Paul's message. 
  • Paul and Silas in Prison
  •  “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!”
  • After her and her household were baptized, she invited Paul and Silas to her home.

  • Paul and Silas were on their way to the place of prayer. They were met by a female slave predicted the future. She followed Paul, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God" She kept this up for many days.

  • Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
  • Believe in Jesus!
  • Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” Right then and there, the spirit left her.
  • The owners were mad at Paul and Silas. They had them thrown into prison. Later that night, Paul and Silas sang hymns and prayed to God. Suddenly, there was a violent earthquake. The jailer woke up an was about to kill himself when Paul shouted "Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”
  • Then the jailer asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you and your house will be saved. Then they spoke to the jailer and his household.  Then immediately he and all his household were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house. He was filled with joy because he and his household believed in God.
