In this scene Ishmael and some of the boys he was with get chosen by a foreigner to go to a rehabilitation. He's been on so many drugs and all he does is fight. They all do. They've been brain washed to be strong soldiers and kill. The boys and Ishmael hate the civilians who are there trying to help them. They just want their old life back and miss their drugs. The reason I selected this scene was because it's an important scene in Ishmael's life where he becomes better eventually. It's the place where he cannot access drugs which makes him stronger. The significance of this scene is that Ishmael is finally in a place where violence isn't needed. He doesn't have to protect himself as much and he can focus on rehabilitation.
