The narrator is the care taker for the old man and the narrator does not like the old man’s eye
The narrator decides to kill the old man because of his eye. He watches the old man sleep for seven nights, waiting for the eye to open
They don't suspect a thing.
This is good tea.
On the eighth night, the narrator is going to the old man’s room like usual and his finger slips. The old man wakes up
I DID IT! I MURDERED THE OLD MAN!
The narrator waited a couple of hours, then he went up to the old man’s bed and sure enough, his eye was opened. Then... he killed the old man, chopped up his body parts, and hid him under the floor boards.
A neighbor heard a shriek and called the police. The narrator let them search and invited them for some tea. He was so confident that they wouldn't find the body so he put his chair right on top of where he put the chopped up parts underneath the floor boards
All of a sudden, the narrator heard a ringing and it started to get worse and worse. The he thought the police were mocking him and when they were about to leave, he admitted to the murder.
