Hey,Sally have you heard about the Dowleswaram dam in Telengana?
No i haven't.Will you tell me about it?
'It was rebuilt in 1970 and was officially renamed as " Sir Arthur Cotton 'Barrage/Godavari barrage.
The Dowleswaram Barrage was an irrigation structure originally built built in 1850 on the lower stretch of godavari river'.
Is it that so? It is really old them...
Dams are also involved in the generation of hydroelectricity and in river navigation
The dam has a lot of advantage.It helps in the irrigation of the fields.
Dams helps in preventing floods
WOW. That's a lot of advantages
The flow of water is disturbed,causing disturbances in the habitat of animals
The cost of their construction is very and may take years to get completed.
However,dams also have have a lot of demerits.
There's is so many of them.
