Storyboard Text

  • Ruby got the job as a taxi dancer
  • You start tomorrow, and be ready at eight sharp.
  • Starlight Dance Academy
  • Ruby gets ready for work
  • Oh, I look gorgeous.
  • Other girls make fun of Ruby
  • Oh no, I made a mistake wearing this dress, I need to fix it before I'm fired!
  • Oh my God, its Little Bo Peep!
  • Ruby needs a job so she can feed her family. She came to the Starlight Dance Academy, a taxi-dance academy, out of desperation. She got the job because the owner, Del, wants more money.
  • Ruby attempts to fix her mistake
  • What the heck is she wearing?
  • Look at me!
  • Ruby gets ready in the changing room with the other girls. She wears a beautiful pink gown. The gown was childish and not what was expected of the Starlight dancers.
  • Del threatens to fire Ruby
  • You're fired!
  • No, please don't!
  • Yvonne, the leader of the dancers made fun of Ruby and her dress. Ruby knew that Del would not approve of the dress and she made a mistake. She also knew that she had to do something.
  • Ruby ends up keeping her job
  • Fine, come back with a gown tomorrow
  • I'm really good at dancing!
  • Ruby spun in a circle in the center of the room and got approval from some of the students. But Del was not happy nor does he approve of Ruby's actions.
  • Del could not believe that Ruby was wearing what he consider a sack. He wants girls in pretty evening gowns, not pale pink sacks. He told Ruby she is fired.
  • Del ends up keeping Ruby because Ruby convinced him she knows how to dance well, and he knows ruby will bring him more money. But Ruby has to find an actual gown if she wants to keep the job.
