Host chromosome in new phage
A bacteriophage/virus infects the bacteria with the antibiotic resistant DNA.
The bacteriophage then takes over the bacteria cell. This makes the cell's chromosomes break down.
The new phage
When the phage assembles in the bacteria cell the broken down chromosomes are incorporated into a new phage.
Then, the bacteria cell breaks and releases the newly assembled phages.
The cell breaks open and the new phages are released
Next, a phage will then go into a cell and repeat the transduction process.
