Convection then comes in by transferring the heat from the stove to the pan then to the water. After the pan warms up the heat transfers to the water which soon boils.
This is what we feel
Radiation is what we feel. The temperature from the water rises up and that show we can feel the heat when we put our hands around the pan. Radiation is also why we need pot holders or why there are wood handles because wood or what pot holders are made out of are insulators.
Wow, I didn't know that much stuff happened just by boiling water .
