  • I should be the King of France because Charles has died.
  • This war was a long struggle between England and France over succession to the French throne. It lasted 116 years.

  • The battle took place in France in the low countries, where the farmers lived.
  • The war happened because King Charles lV  of France died without a son, so Edward lll  of England believed that he had the right to become King of France through his mother.
  • The decline of feudalism occurred during the war by helping to shift power from feudal lord to the monarchs and then to the common people of England.
  • France obtained power by winning the war. It maintained it power by keeping their land and not taking over England's land because it would be to much land to control.
