The story of Prometheus and Pandora's box, in the old times when Titans lived. In this old time, there lived two sons that were unlike other men never like the Mighty Ones that lived on the mountain tops. These two sons were special, and were the sons of the Titans who fought against the evil tyrant, Jupiter.
"Not a spark I will give"
Can you give the people fire?
One of the sons was named Prometheus or forethought because he was always thinking of the future and making things ready for what may come tomorrow.
One day, Prometheus looked at the people around him and felt bad for them because they had nothing to keep them alive. He thought to himself that maybe the people would survive if the people had fire to feed themselves and cook their food.
Prometheus asked Jupiter if he could give the people, fire. Jupiter refused to give the people fire and said to Prometheus " Not a spark I will give". Then Prometheus looked down and felt bad for the people, for they were starving and needed help badly. Prometheus refused to follow Jupiter's command and found a reed to catch the fire with. He then went to the people and gave them the fire and showed them how to use it.
Prometheus then showed them how to survive. Meanwhile, up on the mountain, Zeus was watching Prometheus and said, He should be punished for disobeying me but, I need to punish the people as well. Zeus, then went to the his blacksmith, Vulcan and asked him to create a woman. Zeus made the woman beautiful, gave her a pleasant voice, good manners, some more things, and last but not least, curiosity.
You must go and marry Prometheus's brother and do me a favor.
Pandora was her name and when Prometheus's saw Pandora, he instantly feel in love and married her. When Pandora was sent down from Earth, Jupiter gave her a box and said never to open the box. A long time later, Pandora was so curious to open the box and she opened it. Evil spirits escaped the box before Pandora could shut the box and the spirits went into the peoples souls and made them afraid. This was how Jupiter sought to make mankind miserable.
