  • A mental health condition that is triggered by a terrifying event experienced it, or witnessed it.
  • How do you know if you have PTSD?
  • PTSD isn't diagnosed until the symptoms have been present for a consistent month and these symptoms may not occur till several months after the event.

  • PTSD is caused by serious accidents  such as physical or sexual assault; Abuse, from childhood or domestic abuse. Woman may also suffer PTSD if they lose a baby before birth or during.

  • Symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder include flashbacks and nightmares, substance abuse and uncontrollable thoughts about the event
  • Consequences of PTSD
  • The consequences of PTSD is not being able to cope, anger, shock , fear, guilt, and anxiety; and depression.
  • PTSD treatment
  • You can try and treat PTSD with Cognitive behavioral therapy, group therapy, etc.. A rare treatment for PTSD is medication but only if all the other methods have not worked for you.
