Hey guys I'm going to tell you what it means to be an American citizen.
All citizens have duties, which are obligations given to someone who is required to execute it. Duties are important for communities to stay disciplined and to keep society in order.
They are also given responsibilities, which are tasks that are given to specific individuals depending on what they do. They are important because some are required by law and some are voluntarily which affect the state and community.
The difference between responsibilities and duties is that a duty is a moral commitment to something and a responsibility is something that you do for yourself independently at your own will.
All citizens need to do their part of doing their duties and responsibilities. They are important to the health and society of the federal and state government.
That is what it means to be an american citizen. If you aren't responsible and not dutyous it might lead to punishment or time in jail.
