  • Frederick Douglass was a slave for a slave breaker named Covey. It was a hot day and Frederick did not feel the best. He almost fell over as he justed wanted to stop. Then a great idea came about that Douglass should escape. He told all of his fellow slave friends. Him and his friends talked for hour upon hour they so desperately wanted to escape and get out of this terror of a plantation. They talked about how much they wanted to escape and how they were going to escape.
  • The plan was that Douglass would make fake slave passports and his friends and him would go to a boat and sail to Maryland.Everyone of the slaves who knew about the escape was celebrating like it was a party.the night before the escape the everyone was nervus they all wanted to get out so they wished that all of Douglass’s crew well. After a long night the morning was finally there. It was so quiet everyone knew something was wrong. Some tall white men came and shouted “ Douglass, John, and Henry come with me we need to have a chat.”Someone had snitched on them.Probably because they were jealous that they were not the ones to get out of this harendis place. As soon as they got in the room for interrogation Douglass had managed to slip his slave passport into a trashcan. The other two slaves were not so lucky though. The men seemed to be very mad. They had not gathered any evidence to put them in a wiping stance. The men shouted “We know what you guys are on to you want escape you scums thought you were slick now didn’t you.Show me your pass you bums.”Then Mr.Covey said, “ Come here you undici blend slave now.”Then the tall white men left Douglass and his pals alone. So they got to leave.
  • Douglass and his friends may have not escaped but they will still be on a plan of escape. They will never stop trying even after fights and arguments they will never start trying.Soon Douglass would get out of  the plantation and fight for civil rights no matter what happens.Douglass would never stop trying his best for the best of others.
