That was when things started getting a little spooky. In the room next to ours I found a message scrawled on the wall. BEWARE THE SENTINEL, it said in big black letters. When I showed Mom and Aunt Elise they said it was just a joke and got mad at me for frightening Marie.
My mom and her sister are single mothers and they decided they had to do man things with Duffy, Marie, and me like camping. We went out to a cabin Mom's boss let us use.
Four hours later we had managed to get three bedrooms clean enough to sleep in without getting the heebie-jeebies – one for Mom and Aunt Elise, one for Marie, and one for me and Duffy. After a supper of beans and franks we hit the hay, which I think is what our mattresses were stuffed with.
Things looked better in the morning we found a stream where we could go wading (Your sneakers Duffy).
Beware The Sentinel
we should hide somewhere
It's the Sentinel it tracked with your jacket Duffy
Mom Said not to scare us.
Would our parents find a body or would nothin be left of us
You forgot your jacket stupid
I should start remembering my stuff from now on I never know who will find it
