Storyboard Text

  • Scene 1: The guest makes the mariner release his grip at the wedding
  • Stanza 3 Line 11-12 The poem begins at a wedding, but the Mariner stops a guest. The guest then asks him why he was stopped, and then the Mariner starts to explain. The guest than demands to be let go, and he grants his request.
  • LET GO!
  • Scene 2: The guests sit down and listen to the Mariner tell his story
  • Stanza 5 Line 17-18 The guests than decide to sit down and listen to the Mariner's story, he just wants them to listen, they listen and he begins his story
  • Scene 3: The Albatross flies towards the ship
  • Stanza 16 Line 61-62 The ship was in the middle of a storm, as an albatross soared through the mist into the boat. As the albatross flew, the Mariner shot the albatross with a bow.
  • Scene 4: The crew was upset over the bird being shot
  • I'm sorry !
  • Stanza 25 Line 101-104 The Mariner than felt bad about killing the Albatross because the crew became upset, but the sea was very quiet and that's all they could talk to, each other.
  • Scene 5: 200 men drop dead due to the Death Ship
  • Oh no!
  • Stanza 25 Line 214-217 There was a lack of water on board. After this, the mariner runs into the death ship, and as the woman whistled 200 men drop dead into the water, the mariner feels there soul rush passed him.
  • Scene 6: The Albatross falls from the Mariner's neck
  • Stanza 53 Line 296-299 There was no smell of dead bodies, and as the souls passed the Mariner they all had the same look. The Mariner's soul was sad and hurting. he prayed to the heavens as the Albatross fell from his neck
