- I was once a peasant bound to the manor. Some one who was owned by a ruler. Life as a peasant was defined as constant battles. We were not to be lazy or else we would be punished. Some were bound to the land but not all. For I wished to be a troubadour. I wished to write of stories and of love but this was not something shared. But this epic I had written in my head was fiction. I remain a serf. I remain in a life of no freedom.
- Then one day I met a man who so kindly offered me bread, of course I could have gotten it on my own. For food was one of the things that was produced by peasants like myself. Still this offer of fresh bread, that of which was not the same old rye we peasants have the same of everyday. . The gentleman was indeed kind. and thoughtful

- Marriages were one of the things as a peasant we loved to celebrate greatly, This was no ordinary man I was marrying either. He was a lord in charge of the manor.

- We have the best knights in the kingdom who are mighty warriors on steeds. They were most admired for their chivalry; "
- We now live in my husbands estate. We grant lesser lords a feif, or estate, to whom worked on the land.
- knights were not the only ones thought of for their chilvaryfor now I was too. I had gotten the life I had dreamed of. I was a troubadour. I was to represent the beauty and wit of chivalrous women of the land.
- These knights were chosen after a tournament held by my husband and I. We invited knights from neighboring areas to battle and the winners would be dubbed out knights.
- As a noblewoman and lady of the manor, I played an active role in this society. Now my husband and I rule together and pretect the lesser lords, also known as vassals. The vassals pledge their service and loyalty to us.We have feudal contracts being passed to ensure our pledges.
