  • I buy hair. Take yer hat off and lets have a sight at the looks of it. Twenty dollars.

  • Della, lets put our Christmas presents away and em' a while. They're too nice to use just at present.
  • This would be situational irony. Della sold her hair because she didn't have enough money to get Jim a Christmas present. (pg: 1o1)
  • This would be situational irony. Jim sold his most prize position to buy Della combs for Christmas for her hair but she cut it off to buy Jim's Christmas present. He was kinda disappointed. (pg:102)
  • This would be situational irony. Jim and Della neither had enough money to buy each other something for Christmas. Each sold off their prize possession to get thee money. And the ironic thing was that the money they got from selling their possessions to buy the other something that will benefit the others prize possession. (pg:103)
