  • "No need, my unlucky one, to grieve here any longer, no, don't waste your life away. Now I am willing, heart and soul, to send you off at last."
  • Calypso is a lustrous nymph, who is holding Odysseus hostage on her island. After Hermes visits her, she decides to let Odysseus free to journey home
  • What's that over there?
  • The next morning they work to gather items to prepare for Odysseus' journey home.
  • " Just look at him there, nearing Phaeacia's shoes where he's fated to escape his hopes ride high- I'll give that man his swamping fill of trouble!"
  • After five days of preparation, Odysseus is ready to journey home. As much as Calypso does not want to, she made a promise to let him free.
  • Odysseus travels for 17 days. Until....
  • Poseidon sees him reaching the shores of the Phaeacians. Poseidon becomes outraged and churns the sea with chaos
