  • And Duncan’s horses—a thing most strange and certain— Turned wild in nature, broke their stalls, flung out, Contending 'gainst obedience, as they would Make war with mankind.
  • Hark! Peace! It was the owl that shrieked, the fatal I heard the owl scream and the crickets cry. Now o'er the one half-world Nature seems dead
  • And Duncan’s horses—a thing most strange and certain— Beauteous and swift, the minions of their race, Turned wild in nature, broke their stalls, flung out, Contending 'gainst obedience, as they would Make war with mankind.
