Gentlemen, I bring you here today to discuss our new government.
Long have we relied on the Articles of Confederation to make our union better, but sadly, it has only created more problem
The Articles gave us, Congress, the power to govern foreign affairs, conduct war, and regulate currency.
However, we did not have the authority to enforce our requests to the states for money or troops.
But now, I bring you here to propose a new form of government, the Constitution, to right our wrongs.
