  • In August 1789 the National Assembly passes the Declaration of the rights of man and the citizen. A document outlining the importance of basic human rights.
  • We have passed a necessary law. Huzzah.
  • You Jacobins are so violent this is supposed to be a revolution not a bloodbath you imbeciles!
  • After the passing of the declaration fights broke out between the two political groups.
  • That's rich coming from you softies!!
  • Meet Marat, Danton, and Robespierre. Three revolutionary leaders with different ideas. Marat wrote a newspaper about the revolution and his opinion.
  • The French fought wars during the revolution. they were fighting against Austria and Prussia. The reason for the wars was because they didn't want the king to regain power.
  • In 1793 Marie Antoinette and her husband King Louis XVI were guillotined nine months apart.
  • In 1793 - 1794 France fell into a Reign of Terror. This was a time filled with executions and harsh laws. Led by Robespierre he guillotined over 37 000 people.
