Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Beasts of England! Four legs good, two legs bad!
  • Rising Action
  • Seven Commandments 1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. 2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend. 3. No animal shall wear clothes...
  • I will work harder!
  • Climax
  • I'm innocent!
  • Grrrr!
  • Old Major gathers the animals at Manor Farm, and discusses his dream of Animalism rebellion. Afterwards, the animals sing "Beasts of England", and attack a drunk Mr. Jones. After Old Major dies, Snowball and Napoleon, pigs, promise to carry on with his dream.
  • Falling Action
  • Two legs are better than four. No animal shall sleep in a bed. No animal shall drink alcohol to excess
  • At first, the Animal Farm runs smoothly, with food in abundance. Boxer comes up with the mantra, "I will work harder!", and the animals learn to read and write. However, a disagreement about the windmill causes Napoleon to use the dogs he trained to chase Snowball off the farm.
  • Napoleon begins to blame Snowball for the destruction of the windmill, and other incidents occurring on the farm. Napoleon begins killing off those who he feels are conspiring with Snowball with his dogs.
  • The animals realize they were better off with Farmer Jones, and conditions get worse on the farm. It becomes evident that the commandments have been rewritten for the benefit of the pigs.
