Suppose Leopards might even have just more than instincts? Feelings?
Of course not! Has the humidity gotten to your head? In this world, there's the hunters and the hunted. We're the hunters.
Oh... Well, anyways... the Captain is paranoid about Ship-Trap Island
Bah, nonsense. Now the humidity is really getting to you. Let's sleep.
What was that..? A cartridge here? Small. Must be for a smaller gun
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, whatever went down was... a huge animal!
This is strange... best to be cautious
It is a dark, humid night, with Whitney and Rainsford setting sail to hunt at other lands. They've complimented each other on their prowess at hunting, though they pass by Ship-Trap Island
You mean... they're humans? That's murder!
Oh, you're way of thinking is so Victorian.
Small talk continues, and they mentioned the Captain. The Captain is known to ask the devil for a light himself, Whitney finding it strange how much the name Ship-Trap Island got under his skin.
Oh no oh no oh no oh no...
The next morning, after a good nights sleep, Rainsford is relaxed, then falls overboard, washing up ashore Ship-Trap Island. He walks deep into the jungle, hearing gunshots.
I am still a beast at bay. Get ready, General Zaroff
Rainsford continues walking, astonished as he comes across quite possibly a mansion in the middle of nowhere. He is confronted by Ivan, but the chaos settles as General Zarrof cools it down. He explains his shipment of special game, much to Rainsford's dismay.
Threatened, Rainsford wants to leave, and the General allows him to if he can survive 3 days of him being hunted. Frightened, Rainsford begins the fight for his life.
Having killed one of the General's dogs and Ivan, Rainsford has managed to outwit the General himself. As he escapes, he takes a shortcut before the General gets to his house, surprising him.
