Storyboard Text

  • We are just ordinary rocks setting on the ground. About to take you on a journey on how we got here.
  • How did we get here?
  • We have three main family members they are Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic rocks.
  • Call me Meta.
  • I'm Igneous
  • Hi, I'm Sedi.
  • First weathering and erosion starts to break us down into sediment.
  • I am eroding !!!
  • Over time dirt, sand, and grave start to compact to form sedimentary rocks.
  • Ow, the Compaction!
  • The movement of earth's crust starts to cause heat and pressure to form metamorphic rocks.
  • Oh the heat and the Pressure is making me ready to blow!
  • Volcanic activity melts rocks into magma to crate igneous rocks.
  • Step 1: Weathering and Erosion
  • Step 2: Sedimentation
  • Step 3: Heat & Compression Metamophic Rock
  • Step 4: Magma shoot out of a volcano then cools into Igneous rock. Then the cycle repeats.
