Storyboard Text

  • Cells are such funny things! Did you know they all are made from the same genetic code?
  • They are? How?
  • DNA contains the genetic instructions of all living things. Each nucleotide consists of a sugar & phosphate group linked to one of 4 bases: Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, & Cytosine
  • WOW, so tiny and yet so powerful!!
  • Ok, I get it now, I think!
  • The order of the bases determines the amino acid sequence in the chain. Then the chain folds to form the protein.
  • A gene is a small section of DNA. Each gene codes for a particular sequence of amino acids to make a specific protein .
