Hello, my name is Malakai Ferrell and I'm here today to tell you about the branches of government.
The first branch I am going to tell you about is the Executive branch. In the federal government the leader of the Executive branch is the President. In state government it is the Governor, and in city government it is the mayor. Their main responsibility is to carry out laws.
The second branch of government is the legislative branch. The people who are in charge of the legislative branch is the Congress. Their main responsibility is to make laws.
The final branch of government is the Judicial branch. The people who are in charge of the Judicial branch is the Supreme Court. Their main responsibility is to interpret laws.
Here are some interesting facts about the of government. The Legislative Branch makes laws, but the Executive Branch can veto or reject the law. Then, the Legislative Branch can vote to override the veto. The Judicial Branch can override both of the other branches if they decide the other branches are not following the constitution. I wonder how they get anything done.
Finally I am back to my apartment, but now you know all about the branches of Government.
