Hello, everybody! Nice to see you there. You know what inertia is, right? No? Well let me explain.
The law of inertia says that any object in motion wants to stay in motion, and any object at rest wants to stay at rest.
It also says that these objects will stay in motion or rest until acted upon by an unbalanced force.
In addition, objects with more mass have more inertia. What does that mean?
Well, take this desk compared to that pencil. The pencil would be easier to move than the desk, right? But if you managed to throw both of them the desk would also be harder to stop.
This is because the desk has more mass. Since it has more mass it also has more inertia. Therefore, the desk has more resistance to change in motion.
And That's Science!
