  • peasants were being taxed half of their income. The peasants were upset because them being taxed was unfair . It was an overall burden on the peasants .
  • Storming of Bastille

  • the population was growing and there was less and less food for everyone .the crop failure led to starvation because shortly after bread prices started to rise cau-sing starvation.
  • Women's March to Versailles 
  • during the enlightenment period the declaration of rights of man bad economy and the governments abuse of power. philospehers showed them then idea of        equality

  • This march was a step into democracy, this march in-  cluded about a thousand of women in search for the    king
  • On June 20th,1789 The National Assembly were locked out of the meeting room. they soon found an indoor    tennis court they stayed on and pledged to stay until there was a new constitution created
