The Mexican government sent Mier Y Teran to Texas to spy on them. When he had gone to Texas he had reported back to Mexico that Texas had outnumbered them by almost 5 to 1. The Mexican government felt that it needed to come to and end so they created the Law of April 6, 1830.

The Mexican government felt that because of Texas outnumbering Mexico that they needed to set some rules. The rules were Texas was no longer allowed to allow imragton, all slavery was banned, all emprasior contract were suspened and it made the Anglo-Americans pay taxes.
REMEMBER THE ALAMO
The year was 1821 Stephen F. Austin was allowed to settle families in Texas. The first 300 families were called the old 300. The settlers had some complaints and wrote a note about it. Santa Anna found the note and reported it. Stephen F. Austin was later arrested which made the settlers upset.
In 1835 the first battle of the Texas revolution had started. The leader for Texas is John H. Moore Texas is fighting over a cannon with Mexico. there was a famous saying from it and that is COME AND TAKE IT. The saying is basically saying if you want the cannon you will have to come get it but we will fight.

The William Travis report was during the Alamo when Mexico had sent soldiers to Texas. To fight in the Alamo Texas didn’t have many people to fight with but Mexico had thousands of people. So the leader, William Travis sent a report asking for reinforcements. Texas only got around 30 people as their reinforcements but it was not enough to fight off mexico. Mexico one the battle but it encouraged Texas to keep fighting to their indepence. Texas made a famous saying remember the Alamo when the next war started
When Coleto Creek ended a large number of the Texan soldiers were captured by Mexico. The soldiers that were captured were taken to where the Mexicans were staying. One day at the camp the Texans were made to walk somewhere they thought they had to do work but it was different the soldiers were killed. All 350 soldiers were killed. James Fannin the Texas army leader for this battle was also killed during the massacre.
